A little more about us

Did you know that this year Make a Joyful Noise studio turns 23? Here's what our Director Rachel had to say about the begining of Make a Joyful Noise:

"In 1999 the studio was just me and 10 piano students in my parents' living room. Once finishing my graduate studies I began teaching full time and within weeks my schedule was full. I taught 50 students for several years and felt frustrated about the students on the waiting list that I couldn't serve. That is how the idea of hiring teachers to create a mobile studio was born. Since then we've grown to host 12 teachers and offer lessons for 10 different instruments. Though this was not my original vision, I cannot imagine doing anything else!"

Established in 1999, Make A Joyful Noise brings music lessons to your home. Now there’s no drive time and no loading up siblings. You can continue your day around the house while your child learns music.

Performing is an integral part of musical education. Our recitals are relaxed (even if students are not)! All students at every level are encouraged to participate!

Our teachers customize each student’s lesson to meet their personal needs and goals. Lessons are flexible, but carefully managed to ensure students are learning the fundamentals as well as having fun.
